The saddest historical fact about us as a nation is that we have rescued the animals while ignoring the children. We've drunk the kool-aid. We actually believe that animals and humans are equals. We spend fortunes on animals, but kill children because they might impact us financially -- even a little bit.
Christ did not go to the cross for animals. He wasn't beat for animals. He didn't let them spit on Him for animals. He did not take the nails for animals. No, He did all that for humans.
And God said, "Let us make man in Our image, after Our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Gen 1:26
We are superior in every way, intentionally so. We weren't made for them. No, they were made for us. There's no commandment to "not kill" them. No, but there is one regarding killing humans, and it is reinforced by many other Scriptures, like Exo 23:7
Keep thee far from a false matter, and the innocent and righteous, SLAY THOU NOT, for I will not justify the wicked.
We are even cautioned that ignoring their slaughter is unacceptable, because we will be counted as guilty for not coming to their rescue.
If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the LORD thy God, and to walk ever in His ways; then thou shalt add three cities more for thee besides these three:
That innocent blood be not shed in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, AND SO BLOOD BE UPON THEE. Deu 19:9, 10
See, that last little bit should scare you, because God is saying: If you don't protect the innocent, I'm going to punish you as if you had killed them yourself!
While you've been busy saving the animals, the children have been dying by the millions, and God's wrath has been rising up against you. Disobedience isn't a "ministry", folks, not even when it involves cute little kitties, puppies or what-have-you. Not when it is done as instead of helping little human babies. No, that's a delusion sent to you by the devil himself -- to keep you occupied and away from the work that truly matters.
