Draw Nigh

Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners, and purify your hearts, ye double-minded. -- Jam 4:8

I tell the workers at the pit here that God sees them. That He is not fooled by their deceitfulness. The children's blood covers them from their heads to their toes, and that is how He sees them.

The sad thing is it is also how He sees many who warm pews in this nation. We are covered in innocent baby blood, because we stood by silently while they were killed.

All week long I plead with mothers and workers alike. They laugh, but they also cover their ears and scurry inside. Some cover their faces; others, their license plates. So, tell me this: If killing little children is nothing to be ashamed of, why are they? They are because even their wicked hearts know that killing innocents is wrong.

Our government has taken a stand with wickedness. Many in the churches fell in line with that wickedness. Our guilt has risen to high heaven, and God is very wrathful. We should be afraid. We should be very afraid, but most do not have the sense to realize they are playing with something much more dangerous than fire. No, we play with extinction.

Like Noah's time we deserve to be eradicated. Like Sodom and Gomorrah we should expect to see hail fire and brimstone thrown at us. Sadly, many who call themselves His still expect Him to richly bless them. How deadly is their blindness!

Go out to the streets and preach the truth of God's coming wrath. Stand outside the pits of death and proclaim His word. The time is upon us when we will be called to answer for our silence. Don't you be caught having done nothing to turn those perishing back.

Come to the Battlefield of Life

I know some avoid conflict at all cost. They consider it a problem, and peace more important. Yet, we don't actually win wars without it. Many of our Biblical heroes embraced it. Samson, David, Elijah, Elisha, John the Baptist . . . even the Lord engaged the enemy. They did not run from conflict. No, they stood their ground. They said or did what had to be done.

It takes warriors to fight battles, and we are at war for the heart of this nation. Do I advocate violence? No, not violence, but the conversation you're avoiding must be had. The truth must be shared. It will cause some to get angry, and some to leave you; but God will be honored and glorified.

So, the real question is: Is your peace more important to you than God? Whom would you please? If God, come to the battlefield. Come, be His light in this darkness. If not, then your peace is delusional. It will not last. It cannot, because true peace is from God, and He calls us to work in His fields.

Then saith He to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray ye, therefore, the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth laborers into His harvest." Mat 9:37, 38

Pew-Warming?

If the LORD stood before you, and gave you a job; how well would you do it? You would give it your all, or would you piddle with it, or worse, wait for someone else to do it?

The truth is that many have been called to fight the abortion fight, but few have answered. There are even several who God caused to hear the children's cries. Yet, most of those do not go out to plead their case. Many who were called went for a time, then quit and come no more. Others, who were not called directly by God, have known they, too, were obligated; but they did not go, either.

It is hard work. It is sad work. It is dangerous work. It takes real effort, real prayer time, real dedication; but the children ARE dying. They are innocent, but the nation that can ignore their cries isn't. No, that nation is filled with people who's hearts are hardened like stones. Sadly, such is the organized church in the US today; because they are too comfortable in their pews to bother showing up at the abortuaries where children desperately need their help.

Are you a pew-warmer? What will you say to God when He asks you, "What did you do to end the shedding of innocent blood?"

Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor will also cry himself and not be heard. Pro 21:12

It's a Lack of Faith

Do you stand against an entire movement based solely on their failure to get everything right? Do you bash innocent people merely because of the group they identify with? No?

Such is the attitude of some in the "Abolitionist" movement. They attempt to hijack the term "pro-life", treating it as a blight on society, because some failed to be 100% prolife without exceptions.
So, all the babies saved, all the mothers helped, all repentant clinic workers/abortionists should do w...hat? Rue the day those loathsome creatures (pro-lifers) were there for them? Really?

Some say Christians are the only ones who will eat their own. From where I'm sitting that sounds about right. You're feasting on those you should be working with. You're creating divisions, unnecessary ones, and making the devil proud.

Come against the failing. Come against the mistakes. Plead with them. If they don't listen, then pray for them. To attack them as though every single one of them failed to do anything worthy is ridiculous! Yes, we must be prolife without exception, but you better remember this:

Too few come to the pits to plead for lives as it is. It is difficult, dangerous, and frequently thankless work. Thousands of hours and great sacrifice go into it. Most who work do so out of their own pockets, against the wishes of family members, and under constant opposition from authorities. Do you really want to make it harder? Do you really think it good to make them feel less appreciated? Can you be at every clinic, everyday yourself?

Stand for the truth. I'll applaud you for that, but stop kicking the workers. Offer an olive branch instead. Most pro-lifers I know are against exceptions, they just need leaders who believe it's possible. Now, there's your real problem, because far too many leaders never honestly believed God was capable of ending this nightmare. That's why they were willing to settle for less in the first place.

Is Divorce Sin?

And the Pharisees came to Him and asked Him, "Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife?' tempting Him.

And He answered and said unto them, "What did Moses command you?"

And they said, "Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away."

And Yeshua answered and said unto them, "For the HARDNESS of your heart he wrote you this precept." Mar 10:2-5

Take care that your heart not be so hardened that it lead you to sin. Divorce usually leads to adultery, because we are not free to marry another by God's law unless our spouse has died.

And in the house His disciples asked Him again of the same matter. And He said unto them, "Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery. Mar 10:10-12

But today, we say divorce is nothing; then we wonder how God could be angry with us.

Shocking Word from God

For the past two nights I have encountered a strong angel in my living room. It’s been quite startling, because they usually watch from the shadows. This one has been insistent, almost pushy. He was so insistent the first night that I dropped to my knees before him and began to pray. Last night, after considering how he has been, I went back into the living room and rebuked him, “Saying IF you are here for God, then His will be done; but IF you are not His, then back to the p...it with you, for I am His and I have the authority to send you back.” (He didn’t leave.) This morning the LORD gave me this word:

Does God ever get tired of repentance? Does He ever abandon us to the sin we love?

Then said the LORD unto me, “Though Moses and Samuel stood before Me, yet My mind could not be toward this people. Cast them out of My sight, and let them go forth.”

And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, ‘Whither shall we go forth?’ then thou shalt them, “Thus saith the LORD, ‘Such as for death, to death; and such as for the sword, to the sword; and such as for the famine, to the famine; and such as for the captivity, to the captivity.’” Jer 15:1, 2

“For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? Or who shall bemoan thee? Or who shall go aside to ask how thou doest?”

“Thou hast forsaken Me,” saith the LORD. “Thou art gone backward. Therefore will I stretch forth My hand against thee, and destroy thee. I am weary with repenting.”

“And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land. I will bereave them of children. I will destroy My people, since they return not from their ways.”
Jer 15:5-7

Yes, God wearies of repentance that is of word, but not action. As a nation, that is exactly what we have done. We elected a man to make us “great again” who will not end the slaughter of innocents, and intends to keep the perversions instilled by the last administrations. In short, we chose our god of wealth and comfort; rather than, the true holiness of God. Yet, most still expect this to end in our restoration.

God does not change. There is no greatness without Him.

“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot. I would thou wert cold or hot. So then, because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of My mouth.” Rev 3:15, 16

There is Real Power in His Word

So, I went out to the pit today, and opened my mouth to preach. My son was with me, and I noticed a rather disturbed look on his face as I spoke. When I finished the message, and we turned to leave, I asked him why he was so upset.

He said, "Sometimes, when you preach, it feels like the ground moves. Sometimes, I think it's going to open up, and swallow this place. It's like it (the ground) is just waiting for you to give the order, so it can open up. When you get intense, things react! You're not going to do that, are you? 'Cause I really think it would jump at your command!"

Hmmmmm . . . yes, God's word is earth-shaking. The very atoms that make up everything vibrate with His power. They stand at attention when He speaks. I've seen it more than once in my life, and it is truly amazing. I, also, know that His power wells up inside me when I give myself over to Him, that spiritual and physical things react strongly -- especially those inside.

We have had so many false or quasi-spiritual leaders for so long that many do not even realize there actually is power in God's word. Real power. We can tell the mountain to get up and move, and the mountain knows it. Apparently, so does anyone who's paying attention.

A Call to Action

One of the biggest mistakes we have made as a people is to trust that what need be done will be by someone else.

I believed this for decades; trusting that the slaughter of innocents would be ended, that God would be returned to His rightful place among us . . . in short that "the pendulum of insanity would swing back". Yet, all that got me is a nation further from God and sanity than ever before.

You can sit on the sidelines, but you will be left with what others would give... you -- more bloodshed, more godlessness, and less true freedom.

We MUST get past the "let someone else do it" attitude, and move on to active resistance. I'm not calling for violence here. I'm just saying we need to be less passive and more active. Otherwise, we've no real right to complain about how messed up our nation is.

Prolife/Abolitionism

It is true that Roe v Wade is not a law. It is a judicial ruling that has been treated as law, but it really isn't a law. It isn't any more binding than an executive order, but they are both enforced as law.

Some abolitionists are promoting the idea that Roe v Wade was treated like a law because of prolife organizations, or "faux-life" organizations as they call them. That simply is not true.
Prolife organizations reacted to what government officials and officers of the law did. Ruling officials took Roe v Wade as law, and enforced it as law -- many with a strong, unreasonable hand in favor of it as law. So, "faux-life movements" came out in opposition. They did not open death pits. No, they went to the pits to protest and offer help. They responded. They did not initiate the slaughter.

It was this movement that saved thousands of babies, and turned back as least as many mothers, offering help and assistance along the way -- long before abolition groups existed. The truth is many pro-lifers were actually abolitionists. We were working to end all abortion. Pro-life was merely the tag used to set us apart from the pro-aborts.

Opposition was stiff, too. Many in the prolife effort were arrested, abused, and imprisoned for their efforts. I'm not talking about those who broke the law, either. No, I'm talking about those who took up the children's case gently, but with sincerity, pleading for children's lives and offering help out of their own pockets. Even I, though my main thing for a time was offering free handmade baby blankets, was treated as public enemy number one. Officers assured me I deserved to be run over while standing on the sidewalk or have my children shot for holding balloons! This wasn't unusual, either. No, this is the way authorities treated this judicial ruling. It is the way some still do.

There is a unreasonable hatred for pro-life groups now, but there are a lot of mothers and children extremely glad we were out there doing something when most were doing nothing. Yes, some leaders, and, admittedly, some followers, were not set on ending the atrocity. And, yes, they took in funds that were more about supporting themselves, but you throw out the baby in the wash when you blame them for everything.

Give credit where credit is due. Prolife groups took up the children's case before there was an abolitionist movement. They motivated, organized, educated, and protested. Some did the very best they knew how. Instead of hating them, and calling on others to hate them, why don't abolitionists just do the work. If they're really interested in ending abortion, why don't they work to that end; rather than, expending so much energy to abolish the ones who've been hard at it all this time? Or do they have their own unholy agenda?

There is plenty of work to do and far too few workers. Yet, this new group of abolitionists would alienate those who have been working all this time. Seems a little counterproductive to me.

Safety

Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear Him, upon them who hope in His mercy, to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.  Psa 33:18, 19

If God is truly your Master, then you can be certain His eye is upon you. He sees you. He hears you, and He knows all that you're going through. One of the wonderful things about Him is that He is completely able to keep us even in the midst of the worst storm ever. Nations can collapse, but He remains.

The key is to first make certain you are truly His. Check yourself. Is your relationship alive? Does He commune with you? Do you know His guidance, and care? Has He filled you with His Spirit, and anointed you with gifts?

God is very much a "hands on" Master. Once we come to Him, His intent is to remake us in His image. So, there will be evidence of His work in our lives, making it essential that we take time to consider where we actually stand before Him.

While God is working on us, we are compelled to work, also. Faith that saves is faith that moves us to study His word, desire His presence, devote ourselves to prayer, and testify to how He has delivered us. He will become our priority, because His abiding presence is that important to us.

If you don't have this kind of relationship with God, I plead with you to call upon Him now. Repent of your sins, and ask Him to change you into someone He sees. Commit yourself unto Him.

By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.  Psa 33:6

He has tens of thousands of angels at His beck and call. One can take out 165,000 warriors in one night. He is able, but we must be obediently His.

The Truth About Trials and Blessings

Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.  Mat 11:28-30

Everyone has troubles. If you work for God, you will be persecuted. It comes with the territory. If you belong to God, you will be persecuted, because those who are truly His do not keep Him to themselves. No, we need to share this wonderful Savior, because we want everyone to be saved.

Life itself is problematic. There is always something going wrong, something or someone that needs "fixing", or some mountain in our path that must be conquered. When we face these problems with Christ, He helps us in so many ways. When we face them without Him, we really are on our own.

I don't know about you, but I do know that every decision I made without Him turned out disastrous. All the major ones I remember were just epic fails. However, when I do as He wills, things work out. And, the more of myself I give over to Him, the better my life gets. His yoke really is light.

The thing is to determine before you encounter trials and troubles to stay with Him, regardless. The devil will do everything he can to separate you, to silence you . . . to make you ineffective, and God will let him test you to see if your heart is faithful. Hold fast, because the blessing are on the other side, and they are truly worth the effort.

True Happiness

Are you sad? Are you downtrodden? How much of yourself have you given over to God? The more of ourselves we devote to Him the more He comes to abide in us. With God "all things are possible". Therefore do not look at what the devil shows you, but look at what God has already done, and get busy about honoring Him. Therein lies true happiness.

Are You Grafted In?

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell severity; but towards thee, goodness, IF thou continue in His goodness. Otherwise, thou also shalt be cut off. And they also, if they abide not in unbelief, shall be grafted in. For God is able to graft them in again. Rom 11:22, 23

Here Paul is talking about how God let go of the Jews who would not be obediently His.

When Christ came, many did not want to abandon the OT ways. They had expected a king who ...fit their concept of kings, but the LORD came as a sacrificial lamb. So, even knowing who He was, they still rejected Him; and were cut off from God.

Paul was the apostle to the gentiles, and the gentiles had no such preconceived notions. So, they accepted what they saw, and became God's children -- being grafted into the Family by belief.

The lesson is this: It really isn't enough to just know who He is, we must accept Him for the King He is, being obediently submissive to His will. Then we can be grafted into His family, whether we are gentile or Jew. But also, IF we will not take His LORDSHIP His way, then we will be cut off regardless of who we are.

First comes belief, but true belief is proven by diligent obedience.

Let Your Light Shine!

Do not let evil silence you. We can please man or we can please God, but we won't please both. Why? Because there's war going on for the souls of men. The evil one wants you to be quiet, or hide your light. Then only his lies will be heard, and more men will end up in hell.

God tells us to:

"Let your light shine before men that they might see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Mat 5:16
...
This is the LORD speaking. He calls us to be active witnesses for the truth. Did He not send out the 12 to the world? Of course He did, and if He had not the Gospel would not have spread.

Look at what Paul says:

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? Rom 10:14

Do you not know that when you speak of God, the world listens? You travel through homes/families/nations spreading seed when you witness on public venues. God sees to it. You are the hope of the world, because He lives in you. How many need that hope these days! Therefore, do not let the complaints of a few keep you from feeding the many.
