Is God Guilty of Duplicity?

On the surface most Christians would quickly answer this question with a resounding, “No!” However, these same Christians will turn around and insist that God can tell them one thing while telling you another.

This, in fact, is the real reason some do not take up the case of abortion. They insist it is a “calling”, but deny its worth by laying the obligation completely on those who labor. So, on the one hand they demand it be considered a missionary field while denying it the consideration most missionary fields get.

So, the question becomes: Is it a missionary field or not? Is it like sharing the gospel with the lost of another nation or within ones’ own? Well, if it is, the church has wronged those who work by marginalizing them. Missionaries are supported by the church – both spiritually and financially, yet, most prolifers are not.

The bigger issue, though, is whether or not the slaughter of innocents is just a missionary field, because even “godly” men will argue vehemently it’s not their problem. They believe God may call someone to work in the abortion missionary field, but since they are not called or convicted, the issue is not even one they need concern themselves with. So, let’s see if that argument really has merit.

“They sacrificed their sons and daughters to demons. They

shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters,

who they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was desecrated by their blood. -- ” Psa 106-37-38

“Do this so that innocent blood will not be shed in your land

. . . so that you will not be guilty of bloodshed.” – Deu 19:10

“ . . . and from each man, too, I will demand an accounting

for the life of his fellowman.” – Gen 9:5

Okay. So, the entire nation is destroyed by allowing innocent blood to be shed, ignoring it makes us guilty, and He will demand we explain ourselves. Hmmm . . . doesn’t sound like an issue for the few to me, folks. Let me share one more with you:

“. . . since you did not hate bloodshed, bloodshed will

pursue you.” – Ezekiel 35:6

Alrighty then, here we are on the brink of disaster and still the “godly” are using any and every excuse to sideline the importance of the issue. I’ve been called it all and accused of it all -- mostly because I took God at His word and dared to insist it be recognized for the authority it is. But you know what? When I corner those same accusers, their only real excuse is that God is guilty of duplicity where the children are concerned! He calls some of us to tackle this nation-ending sin, but excuses everyone else. Never mind what the Scripture says. That only applies to the called in that area!!!

Allow me to share with you a few more applicable Scriptures:

Then the Lord said to me, "Do not pray for the well-being of

this people. Although they fast, I will not listen to their cry;

though they offer burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will

not accept them. Instead, I will destroy them with the

sword, famine, and plague."

But I said, "Ah, Sovereign Lord, the prophets keeps telling

them, 'You will not see the sword or suffer famine. Indeed, I

will give you lasting peace in this place.'"

Then the Lord said to me, "The prophets are prophesying

lies in My name. I have not sent them or appointed them or

spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions,

divinations, idolatries, and the delusions of their own minds."

-- Jer 14:11-14

"Those same prophets will perish by sword and famine.

And the people they are prophesying to will be thrown out

into the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and

sword." -- Jer 14:16

Unlike man, God is abundantly clear. These people were also guilty of shedding innocent blood and ignoring the fact that it was being shed. It wasn’t their only sin, but it was one of the ones He was angry about. Here God tells us exactly how He intended to deal with them. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be in that boat.

Man clouds the issue with every excuse imaginable. One of my all-time favorites is that the bearer of the bad news is themselves unacceptable. But I ask you, how is that relevant? I mean, really? If God says it, why do you look at the one He sent to point it out? Are you not agreeing to be blind?

God isn’t guilty of duplicity. Man is. Man doesn’t want to deal with the issue. So, man undercuts those that do. Because if this issue were to ever be given the attention it deserves, man would be forced to deal with it. And we can’t have that, now can we?
