thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's
sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we
must give account. -- Hebrews 4:12-13
Many quote the first of this passage, choosing to ignore the later, but the two go together. The first details the far-reaching ability of the word of God, which convicts us of our sins. The second points out the folly of ignoring that conviction, because we cannot hide from God. It's like trying to commit a burglary with the police in full view. God is spelling it out for us clearly. He is saying, "I see you. I know your sins. I will demand you explain yourself."
Man sins thinking no one will know. He lies, steals, cheats -- it's an endless list. He tells himself no one will know, but God always does. Even if one manages to go through life committing one horrid act after another without being caught by the authorities on earth, after death one still comes face to face with the Holiness of God. We are lying, cheating, stealing in full view of Him. It is all logged in His book. Not one "little" sin goes unnoticed, let alone the great ones of shedding innocent blood, denying His existence, perverting His word -- again, it's a long list.
Often those who kill their children at abortuaries think God will neither see nor care. They fail to connect the dots:
- God created these children. (Gen 1:27-28)
- He calls them a "blessing". (Psa 127:3)
- He hates the shedding of innocent blood. (Pro 6:16-17)
- He hears their cries. (Gen 4:10)
- He considers the silent and inactive just as guilty as those who kill. (Exo 23:7, Deu 19:10)
- It desecrates entire nations. (Psa 106-37-38)
- Those who ignore it will be punished. (Eze 35:6)
- He will demand an accounting for their murders. (Gen 9:5)
It's all in the Scriptures. He laid it out plainly. Then He cautions us in Hebrews to consider them wisely our actions, because He is watching. He is listening. It is being recorded and we will be called to account.
How do you plan to justify killing helpless little children? Have you thought about it? You should, because the day will come. What will you say to Him? "I did not want Your blessing?" or "He/She was an inconvenience?" I hope you do not plan to use the "it wasn't really a child" excuse, because science has already proven that to be a gigantic lie. The "it wasn't really alive" excuse doesn't work, either, because the life is in the blood and no dead thing grows. It has to be one or the other. Further there are many scriptures that point to His having plans for children before they were even conceived, much less in the womb (Jud 13:3, 5; Jer 1:5; Luk 1:13-15 -- to name a few).
So, I caution you, consider well the word of God. Repent from your sins and turn to Him. He is merciful, but He did send His only Son to the cross so that we could ignore our sins; but rather, that we might turn from them.
