Some of you may know that I have written a book at God's bidding. It's called "The Air of Heaven", and deals with things He has shown me over the years -- things that many in the pulpit refuse to deal honestly with, things that are destroying our nation; but also, the truth of Who He is and who we are called to be.
What you may not know is that I have given several copies away to those in God's service, including some who quite well known. I did so in an attempt to draw them to addressing these issues in hopes it would bring the revival we need so badly. Sadly, most failed to appreciate what they had received.
Recently a sweet brother started to read and comment on the book. I thought I would share his comments here. Both comments are from Lowell Mahler.
The Air of Heaven
I am up to page 46.
Love this book Sister! There is absolutely no doubt that the Holy Spirit leads you and you listen to Him and obey Him. I love the way you write. God is really using you.
I am up to page 59. I have read books from Tozer, Moody, Wigglesworth, and many other preachers.
This book (The Air of Heaven) is a must read, for Christians that listen to and follow the Holy Spirit. So far, I would rate it A+. When I finish reading it, I plan on giving it my "review". I feel the Holy Spirit speaking to the reader in every page. Everyone should read this book ! I love it.
Truly, I am a simple believer, but by God's grace I have become His messenger. I believe that when those in leadership places fail to be true leaders, it is the common person's duty to stand up and replace them. I don't say this pridefully. Truth is I find it very shameful that our leaders who turn a blind eye and deaf ear to God's word for our time. It's embarrassing. However, I refuse to stand silently by when we can repent without them, and return to God's mercy.
Brothers and Sisters, God wants to forgive us. He's just waiting for us to repent. Read the book. Find out what we need to repent of. Find out why. Don't let their silence keep you in the dark.
Blessings,
Betty

Finding Peace With God
"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments."
One of the jobs given to parents is to raise honest, responsible,
moral children. We don't do this for our own good, but for theirs. We know that
honesty pays off. We know that responsibility will serve them well, and
good morals will keep them from disastrous choices. God's rules are much the
same. They were given to keep us from bad choices, destructive lifestyles, and
an eternity of torment.
Today many try to edit God's word so that their choices do not appear
bad. Much like disobedient children, they attempt to subvert the rules to have
their way. A good parent will never allow their child to get away with such
disrespect, and neither will God. Most parents know when their child has broken
the rules. God always does.
It is out of love that parents discipline their children, and
love that God expresses His displeasure. With earthly parents children may
manage to get by with some things, but with God nothing eludes His attention.
The difference here is that earthly parents have been disobedient themselves. So, we
can relate to the desire to do what we should not.
With God, He not only sacrificed His only Son to pay for our sins, but
He cannot co-habitate with sin. This makes disobedience or sin a far
more serious infraction to Him. Just as earthly parents enjoy being with their
children, He longs to have a relationship with us. If we are in sin, that
cannot be. His holiness will not allow it.
Despite what some say the God of the Bible is intensely interested
and concerned with the lives of His creation.
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you
compassion. -- Isa 30:18
The magnificent Creator of all that is literally gets up to see to His
creation. Like our earthly parents, He is genuinely concerned for those who
seek Him. But also, like our earthly parents, He requires submission and
obedience to His rules. If we are to have peace with Him, that is what we must
do -- regard Him as the Father He is, with respect and obedience.
Therefore, gird your minds for action; keep sober in spirit, fix
your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation
of Yeshua the Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the
former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who
called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is
written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy." -- 1 Pet 1:13-16

From the Section on Faith, Hope, and Love of "The Air of Heaven"
Faith
by Betty Baker Bailey
Though battles rage around me,
I lie in peaceful sleep
For Angels stand at ready
My safety for to keep.
The world is not a safe place.
But I, a little sheep,
Can rest content that His grace
Is sufficiently deep.
And so, until the sunrise,
When dew has kissed His land,
In peace I sleep with closed eyes,
And rest inside His hand.

From "The Air of Heaven" -- the prayer that follows "Able Potter"
Gracious and loving Heavenly Father,
Thou art worthy of all praise and adoration.
We are humbled before You,
Honored to come before You.
To be in Your presence is a blessing, indeed.
To be allowed to present our requests is a privilege,
And we are grateful for it.
For You the sun is a plaything. The worlds dance to Your tune.
Yet, You, by Your loving grace have carefully provided for our needs.
We would do well to recognize Your generosity with praise.
All that we have we owe to You.
Open our eyes, Lord, to the depth of Your provision for us.
Incline our hearts to understand Your great love.
Turn our hearts from the earthly mindset of being independently able.
Not one of us could create one single ounce of dirt.
Thank You, Lord, for providing us with this world on which we live.
Thank You for covering it with such wondrous plants.
From the beautiful and fragrant flowers to the nourishing and tasty
fruits and vegetables, You show Your abiding concern for us.
Thank You, Father, thank You.
For the variety of animal life You have provided, we also praise You, Father.
Each one serves a purpose, though we may not yet understand it fully.
Thank You for the fertile valleys and the refreshingly cool waters,
the majestic mountains and welcoming sandy beaches.
Every corner of this wondrous world speaks clearly of Your greatness,
echos with the richness in which You intended for us to live.
We thank You, Father, for such great provision.
May the angels lift Your praises high and may our hearts lift up Your name,
O worthy Lord and God, we are indeed blessed to be Yours
in Yeshuah's name, amen and amen.

Excerpts from "The Air of Heaven"
We are bid come boldly
before the throne of grace. If we are
earnest
enough -- steadfast enough,
and if He is listening; we can draw so near
that our eyes wince and tear
up from the sheer magnitude of His brilliance.
It is as if all Heaven holds
its breath while we reach out for spiritual heights
unattainable by our earthly
self. The closer we draw the closer we want to be.
Having been cleansed by
Yeshuah’s blood, we approach in humble reverence.
We may have come to address
our earthly problems, but proximity to Him
causes their importance to
fade away like yesterday’s news.
At times like these, when we
are so pliable before the throne, it is as
though we are permitted for
a moment to breathe the holy air of Heaven.
Like a child that has
entered the adult world to plead for favor, all Heaven
listens intently for what will
come out of our mouths. And if that request is
based on faith, angels stand
prepared for action. It is with this scene in mind
that this book has been written;
to encourage the brethren everywhere to
continually seek that closeness
and, in doing so, to become even more
fruitful and useful to the
awesome Holy God we serve.
